| Bio: | I'm a wholesomely disgruntled philophobic phobophile. I'm nobody's star witness subject matter expert but sometimes I act like it anyway. Like everyone who writes a journal and puts it up for public (or even semi-public) display, I'm an exhibitionist who secretly prays that everyone will read my words and swoon with the sheer pathos they evoke: passionate, crushing heartbreak, combined with tragic humor that brings tears to your eyes even as your sides are splitting. Beneath this is deep-seated sorrow that has long since faded to embers, but you can catch a glimpse of it sometimes in my eyes. I used to be able to smell a false dichotomy from a mile (1.6km) away, but now I have to be pretty close. I'm able to laugh at almost anything, however morbid, not least of all myself and my own pretensions, but with the glaring exception of simple acts of cruelty or pantomime. I hate building up walls, but that doesn't stop me from doing it just the same. Sometimes I pour the irony on so thick that it chokes me. I think intensely of the things I have forgiven, and those I have held bound... One of you told me it's all about mindset. If that's true, then I hope one day I'll find the right mindset to genuinely understand and embrace that concept in my daily life. I like to sing. It's possibly my favorite thing to do. | ||||
